From RAFT: For 4 years, USAID’s Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade (RAFT) program has been hard at work across Asia and the Pacific, helping to improve forest management and trade practices, thereby reducing CO2 emissions from deforestation. As a catalytic group of NGOs working together with government, business, regional bodies, communities, research institutes, academic institutions and more, we are constantly learning and generating knowledge to inform both policies, as well as practices on the ground.

The RAFT website is new home full of information about the options available to forest managers, processors and regulators and other organizations working to make responsible forestry and trade a reality in Asia and the Pacific. Through, you will be connected not only to RAFT’s own library of resources and tools, but to a wealth of information about the different pieces of the global response to deforestation via our network of implementing partners.
  • Learn more about what Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade mean in practice, and the impacts for forests and people on the ground.
  • Access targeted technical materials and policy briefs on a range of topics from improved forest management, to supply chain management, to REDD+ and beyond.
  • Read stories and watch videos about changes that RAFT is helping to bring about, and connect with the actors involved to learn more.

All of this and more at!

You can also subscribe to our RSS feed to stay up to date with news about RAFT and the issues we work on, including a growing number of stories about important changes we are helping to make happen across Asia and the Pacific.
