From PriceWaterhouseCooper: PriceWaterhouseCooper's 2007 report on the Global Forest, Paper and Packaging Industry confirms Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification as the preferred choice of the industry's top 100 companies.

The study finds almost half (49%) of the industry's top 100 companies have achieved certification of one or more operations to FSC standards. Less than one third (31%) are certified to PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes) requirements. PEFC is followed by SFI und CSA with 30% and 16% respectively.

The surveyed companies have a combined sales revenue of approximately 350 Mrd. US-$.
