GFTN-Germany (WWF WOOD GROUP) was founded in 2003.

GFTN-Germany is a platform for companies wishing to engage with WWF for improved ecological performance in forest and wood certification. Members of the GFTN-Germany recognize and promote forest and wood certification in accordance with the principles and criteria of a certification system. This system fulfils the requirements of WWF for credible and market-compatible certification. The goal of the GFTN-Germany is to rapidly raise the share of timber products with a credible certificate and to fight unwanted wood.

At the moment, there are 15 participants in the GFTN-Germany represented by various sectors including DIY, wood and garden furniture traders,  paper sectors/printers, window producers, and board producers. Most of them are key companies in their sector. Check out the latest participants list.

German companies are buying wood and wood products from all over the world. They are very intersted to create market links with companies that are able to deliver certified wood products or wood products coming from FTN member companies. Contact the GFTN-Germany coordinator for more information.
