The Austria Forest & Trade Network
The GFTN in Austria is part of the WWF Wood Group, a platform for companies wishing to engage with WWF for improved ecological performance in forest and wood certification.
Members of the WWF WOOD GROUP recognize and promote forest and wood certification in accordance with the principles and criteria of a certification system. This system fulfils the requirements of WWF for credible and market-compatible certification.
The goal of the WWF WOOD GROUP is to rapidly raise the share of timber products with a credible certificate and to fight unwanted wood.

FSC still the best
WWF recently commissioned an assessment of the two global forest certicification schemes, using the Forest Certification Assement Guide (FCAG).
