When you apply for GFTN membership, we will first check your institution’s basic compliance with the participation rules and the GFTN-Laos strategy. We are also happy to advise you beforehand.

After application, our team will assist assessing your company’s current practices. Gaps for the implementation of a responsible purchasing policy will be identified. We will then support you to develop a time bound action plan to address these gaps, ensuring that your company is in line with the GFTN participation rules. As a matter of course, all information will be treated confidentially.
3. Independent Verification

The Action Plan will be verified by an experienced expert team from the global GFTN support unit. This is to make sure that the targets set out in the action plan are realistically achievable.
4. Approval & Admittance

After the verification, you will be formally admitted to the GFTN.

The membership agreement (Minutes of Understanding) with GFTN is a public documentation of our mutual commitment to the goals set out in Action Plan and to the GFTN participation rules.

Your company will need to report its progress made against the action plan. These reports will be verified by GFTN through yearly audits.

Finally, you are able to publicly communicate your engagement with GFTN and get full access to GFTN services, as well as the global GFTN market network.
